Cassadee Pope is lovestruck on new song, “One More Red Light”

It’s a loved-up country bop.

In “One More Red Light,” country starlet Cassadee Pope has dropped an anthem of a track that captures the thrill of new love.

The singer-songwriter—who rose to fame after winning the third season of The Voice—keeps her beautiful voice front and center over the upbeat, guitar-driven melody. “I feel you hit the brakes / Waiting for that green to turn yellow / Since we said hello, time’s been flying,” Pope sings on a verse before the chorus pops off with a cry of “One more red light.”

“The idea for ‘One More Red Light’ came from the excitement of connecting with someone that you’re getting to know,” the country singer stated in a press release. “It’s such a fun and unpredictable time. And if it’s going that well, you just don’t want the night to end.”
