Brad Paisley has released an inspirational new song titled “Alive Right Now.” It features additional vocals from a St Jude Children’s Hospital cancer survivor, Addie Pratt.

On the power ballad, the duo give thanks to God and advocate for living in the moment. “It’s great to be alive right now / By the grace of God somehow / No one knows how long a time / But guess what? You’re alive right now,” Paisley and Pratt harmonize on the chorus.

“I can’t think of a better example of what’s great about being alive right now than a place like St Jude Children’s Hospital. I had this idea to have a survivor sing a line from ‘Alive Right Now,’ but I had no idea this survivor was like Beyoncé,” Paisley told Nash Country Daily.

Paisley recently performed the song live with Pratt during Brad Paisley Thinks He’s Special, a special variety show on ABC which aired last night. The special also included appearances from Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Kelsea Ballerini and more.
