Brad Cox drops sophomore album, ‘My Mind’s Projection’

Featuring an appearance from Adam Eckersley.

Australian country singer Brad Cox has released his sophomore album, My Mind’s Projection.

Cox created the 11-track record with longtime collaborator, Matt Fell, who also worked on his 2018 self-titled debut. “It’s really great being able to work with Matt again,” Cox told Tone Deaf in a recent interview.

“I was so uncomfortable the first time, because I didn’t know what I was doing. But we got to be mates. For this second record, we were friends, I knew how he worked,” he added. “I was much more comfortable going ‘Matt, what about this,’ throwing ideas around or ‘I don’t like that.’ It was a totally different experience.”

Cox also explained that My Mind’s Projection, which features fellow Aussie Adam Eckersley on the song “Remedy,” is a “snapshot” of the many songs he has written of “things that I’ve done and things that I’ve experienced in the last three years.”
