Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani team up for “Happy Anywhere”

The couple’s second duet to be released.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have collaborated for the second time on the new song “Happy Anywhere.”

On the feel-good tune, the couple celebrate the warmth and blissful joy romance can bring. “I’m running wide open / I was born with my feet in motion / But since I met you, I swear I could be happy anywhere / Any map dot location / You’re always my destination / You’re the only thing that I’m chained to / I could be happy anywhere,” Shelton sings on the breezy tune, with Stefani on harmonies.

“Even though Gwen and I just had a single out [“Nobody But You,” released last year] we decided that, under the circumstances, this year… man, there’s never been a better time for ‘Happy Anywhere,’” Shelton said in a press statement. “We’ve all been in quarantine and lockdown, and hopefully we’ve been doing that with somebody that we really love and enjoy being around. That’s what happened with Gwen and me this summer—and this entire year.”

Shelton and Stefani’s previous collaboration “Nobody But You” was featured on his 2019 album, Fully Loaded: God’s Country, alongside the songs “Turnin’ Me On,” “God’s Country,” and “Hell Right” with Trace Adkins. Stefani’s last solo release was the special reissue edition of her 2004 debut album, Love. Angel. Music. Baby.—15th Anniversary Edition, which also arrived last year.
