Ashley McBryde has released a dramatic video for her new song, “Martha Divine.”

The clip is the sequel to the country singer’s visual for “One Night Standards.” In the new video, McBryde assists a friend, who’s seeking revenge on her father’s mistress, in the high-stakes kidnapping of the song’s titular character.

“You put your hands on the wrong damn man this time / Jezebel, you’re bound for Hell / But evidently, the devil was busy so I moved you up in line / Martha Divine,” McBryde sings on the rock-tinged chorus.

“‘Martha Divine’ was so much fun to write because [co-writer] Jeremy Spillman wasn’t afraid to get weird with me,” McBryde told NPR. “I told him I wanted to write something dark, and we created this story that surrounds the most delightful trollop of a human being and gets down underneath the fingernails of the uncomfortable truth about family dynamics.”

The “Martha Divine” visual is the second in a three-part series revolving around the titular character, according to Rolling Stone. The song and release date for the series’ final part have yet to be announced.
