Rising Arkansas star Adam Hambrick has shared a music video for “Forever Ain’t Long Enough,” his biggest stride into pop territory yet.

The new track, co-written by Little Red Wagon’s Joe Ginsberg and Kelly Archer, is adorned with guitar licks that would make John Mayer turn his head. The song positions Hambrick as a country act with great crossover potential.

“What’s really great about ‘Forever Ain’t Long Enough’ is that, at its core, it’s just a feel-good, fun, love song,” Hambrick said in a statement. “When Kelly, Joe and I got in the room to write we came up with something to make people dance and smile—and it has a little attitude which I love. This song is the kind of thing you want to put in your earbuds and bounce down the street.”

The accompanying music video revolves around what initially appears to be a typical meet-cute at a classic American diner. But things quickly take a turn as a food fight breaks out.

Hambrick is busy working on his debut album with producers Andrew DeRoberts and Paul DiGiovanni, who’ve collaborated with Miley Cyrus, Blake Shelton and James Blunt.
